Aug. 13--BURGLARY/THEFT/FRAUD

200 block East 17th Street, 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, catalytic converter reported stolen from vehicle.

900 block North Maple Street, 1:07 p.m. Wednesday, spare change and antibiotics reported stolen from a residence, possibly through an unlocked window.

2100 block East Second Street, 12:17 a.m. Wednesday, laptop reported stolen from residence.

Campus Auto Rental, 2425 S. Walnut St., 11 p.m. Tuesday, four tires reported stolen from vehicles parked in the lot.

3300 block South Acadia Court, 12:56 p.m. Tuesday, radar detector, gloves and knife reported stolen from vehicle.

2300 block South Winslow Court, 11:14 a.m. Tuesday, electronics and sporting goods reported stolen from vehicle.

300 block East Fourth Street, 10:43 a.m. Tuesday, laptop computer and iPod reported stolen from vehicle.

600 block East Alpine Trail, 8:03 a.m. Tuesday, someone apparently broke a vehicle window and pried the door. Nothing was reported stolen.

1300 block South Basswood Circle, 4:03 a.m. Tuesday, moped reported stolen.

7-Eleven, 1122 W. 11th St., 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, wallet reported stolen.

ASSAULT

800 block East Miller Drive, 10:44 a.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man reported being struck in the jaw by an acquaintance. He refused medical treatment but complained of pain. No arrest.

100 block East 12th Street, 2:58 a.m. Wednesday, a 26-year-old woman reported her 25-year-old boyfriend pushed and shoved her several times, then choked her almost to unconsciousness. The boyfriend told police he acted in defense because she tried to hit him, and she also threw a watermelon at his car and keyed it. Neither was arrested, but a mutual friend, age 26, was arrested on a public intoxication charge after police interviewed him and determined he was drunk.

1300 block West 13th Street, 10:22 p.m. Tuesday, a 43-year-old man reported a stranger punched him in the face, causing a small cut on his cheek. No arrest.

1700 block South Walnut Street, 6:16 p.m. Tuesday, two men ages 39 and 61 reported being shoved and punched during an argument with another man over a stolen bicycle tire. No arrest.

Boys and Girls Club, 1033 N. Summit St., 12:28 p.m. Tuesday, a young boy reportedly punched, kicked and shoved several people after being teased. No one complained of injuries, and a case worker was called about the child.

2500 block South Rockport Road, 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, a 22-year-old man was arrested after he reportedly scratched a woman's neck and choked her during an argument.

DRUG/ALCOHOL

West 17th Street and North Willis Drive, a 22-year-old was arrested after police reportedly watched him stand in the middle of the road intoxicated.

Vincent E. Thompson, 19, 211 S. Kimble Drive, arrested Thursday by Bloomington police on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana; booked into Monroe County Jail at 1:21 a.m. Bond set at $5,000 surety, $500 cash.

Ryan Matthew Lawrence, 27, Ellettsville, arrested Wednesday by Monroe County police on preliminary charges of domestic battery, intimidation and interfering with reporting a crime; booked into Monroe County Jail at 8:34 p.m. Bond set at $4,000 surety, $500 cash.

Lamelle Tyron Johnson, 22, 1309 Lismore Drive, arrested Wednesday by Bloomington police on preliminary charges of strangulation, battery and harassment; booked into Monroe County Jail at 10:17 a.m. Bond set at $2,000 surety, $500, but is on hold.
