Namco Networks Supports UniteSDK(TM) Cross-Platform Play With Pool Pro Online 3 for PC

Closely following 25 million downloads on iPhone/iPod touch and iPad versions, PC players can now challenge opponents online, whether on other PCs, iPhone/iPod touch or iPad. Three game types are available to choose from, including 8-ball, 9-ball and Snooker, each with their own player lobbies where players can chat and challenge each other. Beautiful 3D graphics and simple controls set the foundation for a great gameplay experience. Winning matches against the computer or other players equates to in-game currency, allowing players to purchase additional pool halls, cue sticks and table felts. Powering the game is the UniteSDK, Namco's proprietary technology, which allows players to access the following community features worldwide:

-- Online wagering system to gain in-game scratch against other players

-- Real-time chat with friends and opponents

-- Global leaderboard to share scores and rankings

"With the success of Pool Pro Online 3 on various Apple platforms, we wanted to extend the concept and introduce PC players to fully-featured cross-platform play," commented David Schwartz, Namco Networks' general manager of PC Games. "This game allows players from all over the world to experience the game together--it is a perfect example of how interconnected gaming can be."

Pool Pro Online 3 will be available for Mac, Android, Java, BREW, RIM and Windows Mobile in the coming months.
