Irish headquartered Mobile Network Operator Cubic Telecom has launched a Sim card for the new iPad 3G in Europe.
According to a release, this means that iPad 3G users will be able to travel and access the web anywhere in Europe without racking up expensive roaming charges.
Cubic Telecom said its iPad 3G Sim cards, sold under the brand name MaxRoam, are available at maxroam.com.
"Our R+D team has been working for the last three months on the new MicroSIM or Form Factor 3 SIM card standard which has been adopted by Apple for its new iPad and next generation iPhones," said Pat Phelan, director of products and innovation, Cubic Telecom.
Cubic Telecom is a Licensed Mobile Network Operator that provides a smart platform, enabling its partners to offer global roaming services. Customers include multinational corporations, mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and travel companies.
The Cubic Telecom technology combines multiple network identities (known as the International Mobile Subscriber Identity or IMSI) on one SIM card to combine global roaming with competitive national services.
